Welcome to the MTWLinux installation guide
In this documentation we will be showing you how to install MTWLinux for both the 32 and 64 bit. Please take a look at the table of contents to see step by step on how to inst all MTWLinux. After your installation is complete, there is also a guide on how to get started after the installation process. Finally, you are ready to use MTWLinux; Thank you and have a great time using this distribution.
Requirements
Before you begin the installation process, ensure that your system meets the following requirements:
- Minimum of 2GB RAM (4GB recommended)
- 20GB of free disk space
- Compatible processor (x86 or x86-64 architecture)
- Internet connection (for downloading the installation image)
- Bootable USB drive (for installation)
Step 1: Download the MTWLinux Installation Image
- Visit the official MTWLinux website
- Navigate to the Downloads section.
- Choose the appropriate installation image for your system architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).
- Click on the download link to save the installation image to your computer.
Step 2: Create a Bootable USB Drive
- Insert a USB drive (minimum 4GB) into your computer.
- Download and install a tool for creating bootable USB drives, such as Rufus (for Windows) or Etcher (for macOS and Linux).
- Open the Rufus/Etcher application.
- Select the MTWLinux installation image you downloaded earlier.
- Choose the USB drive as the target device.
- Click on “Start” or “Flash” to create the bootable USB drive.
Step 3: Boot from the USB Drive
- Restart your computer and access the BIOS or UEFI settings.
- Configure the boot order to prioritize booting from the USB drive.
- Save the changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Insert the bootable USB drive into your computer.
Step 4: Install MTWLinux
- The MTWLinux installer should start automatically. If not, manually select the option to boot from the USB drive during startup.
- Once the installer loads, you will be presented with the option to “Install MTWLinux” or “Try MTWLinux without installing.” Choose the “Install” option.
Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, keyboard layout, timezone, and other preferences.
Choose the installation type (e.g., “Install alongside existing operating system” or “Erase disk and install MTWLinux”).
Create a user account and set a password. - Wait for the installation process to complete. This may take some time depending on your system’s specifications.
Once the installation is finished, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Remove the USB drive and restart the system.
Step 5: Post-Installation
Upon restarting, you will be greeted with the MTWLinux login screen.
Enter your username and password to log in to your newly installed MTWLinux system.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed MTWLinux on your computer.
